Yerba Buena Island (also known as Treasure Island) is an island and World Location in Watch Dogs 2.

Summary[]

Yerba Buena Island is located northeast of San Francisco, in the bay. It is based on the real life islands of Yerba Buena Island and the artificial Treasure Island. The island supports the Bay Bridge leading from San Francisco to Oakland.

In-game[]

Covered in rather lush forest, the unique vehicle Danger Mobile can be found on Yerba Buena Island. The island consists of an Umeni-Zulu base on the peak of the island, A construction site protected by Umeni troops on the north-east beach of Yerba Buena and some smaller buildings on Treasure Island. There is also a CTOS plant on Treasure Island.

Road Layout[]

Traffic arriving from San Francisco or Oakland have access the offramp from either span. Traffic leaving Treasure Island on the other hand can only take the onramp of the Western Span leading to Downtown San Francisco and the highway beyond towards Silicon Valley. The reason traffic does not travel to Oakland is due to the Umeni-Zulu base, located on top of a hill. The road there heads directly through the base which leads to the onramp of the eastern span, so traffic must head westbound on the "ring road" passing through Silicon Valley as a detour.

Missions[]

There are two mission associated with Yerba Buena Island: Hello World and The Name Game.

Trivia[]

  • All Umeni-Zulu personnel present at the Umeni-Zulu base on this island are female.
  • The first building seen when entering Treasure Island can be presumed to be based on the real life TIDA (Treasure Island Development Authority) building, as the two buildings share very similar shape, structure and architectural style.
