Tidis (London) is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion.

Background[]

This building is the London headquarters of the high tech giant, Tidis Corporation. As a long-time partner of Nigel Cass's Albion (a personal friend of the CEO),[1] responsible for developing its fleet of autonomous drones, weapons, and refining human targeting algorithms, Tidis London was selected to spearhead Cass' latest project, THEMIS.[2]

Project THEMIS is the latest and greatest in automated, autonomous law enforcement, killing people by utilizing Nudle's Lifescore functionality to identify, isolate, and kill people.[3] In effect, Cass' personal roving death squads,[4] capable of culling the population at a moment's notice.[5]

Layout[]

The corporate headquarters of Tidis in London stands tall in southern Southwark. Almost the entire internal area is restricted to Albion, but can be navigated with a spiderbot fairly easily due to the amount of obstacles to break line of sight. A helpful spiderbot vent is placed in the reception are just for this purpose. Inside, the main area of interest is upstairs, in the R&D wing. It is locked by a closed circuit terminal, just around the corner.

Inside, there's an audio log on the table, with a text file in the control room upstairs. The mask in the blue Parcel Fox package can be retrieved either by vent on the roof atop the side of the building or by throwing the spiderbot up there.

The tech point package is outside, in the rear of the building, next to another closed circuit terminal.

Tidis #1

FROM: J. Veld
TO: N. Cass
SUBJECT: Thanks again!
Mr. Cass,
I just wanted to thank you once more for your delightful company. I’m so pleased that you’ve chosen Tidis to meet your technological consulting and enhancement needs, if only for the chance to get to work together more closely.
I look forward to our partnership!
Joshua.

 USB Tidis #2

A recorded conversation between a manager and employee at TIDIS, regarding THEMIS.

Tidis Employee: Have you looked at the THEMIS brief, ma'am?
Project Manager: Yeees... I looked at it before I assigned you to the project. I am quite familiar with what it entails.
Tidis Employee: You must see the ethical implications of this! THEMIS violates half a dozen laws, at least!
Project Manager: Those laws don't apply anymore, or haven't you been paying attention? We're functioning under martial law, here.
Tidis Employee: No. THEMIS is more than just martial law. It's a guillotine waiting to come down on every one.
Project Manager: Look, you have two options. You can do your job, or you can lose your job. Pick one.

  2. ↑ Bagley: "Here's what we know about Nigel Cass: he's rolling out something called project THEMIS. The lack of information on its own is worrisome, but what little we do know is Cass wishes to remove the "human element" from law enforcement.
We also know he's partnered with TIDIS, which is never good. TIDIS does other work with Albion. Nasty shit like autonomous weapons, human targeting algorithms...
So Tidis is our best lead to fill in the blanks on the secret project. But their security is notoriously difficult to crack, so Hamish has proposed an intriguing solution...
    "
  3. ↑ Nigel Cass: "London, once a beacon of civility, now a cesspool of lawlessness. It is clear that humanity can no longer police itself. Fortunately, we don't have to. Welcome to Project THEMIS. Albion has found a way to apply an existing system, Lifescore - a data aggregator of biometrics, personal information -- to our new autonomous drones. These drones can identify, isolate, and terminate threats before they can do harm. They can go anywhere. See everything. They can kill a man alone in an alley or in a crowd of hundreds, with perfect precision. THEMIS drones can do what humans have always struggled to: act, immediately and decisively."
  4. ↑ Briefing: "Security drones patrol the skies, identification checkpoints herd the crowds, and entitled mercenaries harass the people. The mark of Albion's iron fist is all over London. Silk glove be damned. And is anyone really surprised?
Given the recent attempt on his life, some would say Nigel Cass, Albion CEO, is justified in squeezing that fist even more tightly. Justified in yanking on the leash, and whatever THEMIS is, it seems a mighty yank indeed.
But some Londoners aren’t ready to roll-over, submissive. They’re made out of sterner stuff. Bulldogs. DedSec is working to turn the pack against the private military machine.
    "
  5. ↑ Briefing: "The citizens of London are already suffering under a surveillance state, but Nigel Cass' plans to use THEMIS to cull the population will make it so much worse.
Albion may claim this is all part of making London safe again, but DedSec isn't fooled. This is pre-meditated murder, targeting the powerless.
