The Whistleblower is a mission in Watch Dogs: Legion, and the first mission of the SIRS chapter.
Plot[]
For an unknown reason, DedSec starts to receive multiple SOS signals from a Staroger Café, and they go to investigate. On arrival to the café, no obvious distress is observed, so the DedSec operative waits for Bagley to ping the IP address sending them the signals.
Later, a waitress at the café walks past the table the operative was waiting at and leaves a mobile phone on the table. The phone rings, and on answering it a voice states that they have information about SIRS, and that rogue officers framed DedSec for the bombings. The voice asks for DedSec’s help to try and stop them. DedSec agrees and the voice sends the operative a meeting location.
However, once the operative arrives at the location the contact is nowhere to be seen. After accessing AR footage, Bagley is able to recreate the scene in AR, which reveals that the contact was shot by a non-lethal weapon and put in the back of a vehicle. The vehicle speeds off and the DedSec operative is able to follow it, which lead to a garage where they swapped vehicles. Bagley analyses the new vehicle and discovers traces of sand from a construction site in the tires, which leads Bagley to find security footage of the SIRS contact being tortured in a construction site.
At the UK Fibrecomm centre in Lambeth, the DedSec operative rescues the contact, who reveals himself to be Richard Malik, an intelligence analyst who believes that Zero Day are a group of rogue SIRS officers that framed DedSec for the bombings in order to seize power.
