The Walk-In is a side mission in Watch Dogs: Legion. It is unlocked by speaking to Nowt in the Safehouse, after the previous mission has been completed.
Plot[]
After DedSec helped Stormzy expose SIRS corruption, Nowt brings up another operation that requires DedSec’s help. She received a text file from a 404 member, claiming that multiple DedSec safehouses around the world have been compromised. She then brings up Heath Bolton: a former member of a DedSec cell in Houston, until he betrayed them and fled to London, where he is now threatening to sell more DedSec secrets and locations of their safehouses. Bagley suggests that the operative starts looking for Bolton at the US embassy.
At the embassy, the operative hacks a CTOS terminal to try and find the whereabouts of Heath Bolton. However, Bagley claims that not even the embassy know where Bolton is, and have monitored his file to protect it. After the download, the operative receives a text file, revealing that Bolton arrived at St. Pancras station, but went missing shortly after, most likely by Albion, according to Bagley. DedSec decide to continue their investigation.
At St. Pancras International, while looking for stolen evidence, they come across Heath Bolton’s dead body, but they continue searching for evidence about data that Bolton had on DedSec’s safehouses. The operative hacks a tablet and receives an audio file of Heath Bolton being tortured for information about DedSec’s safehouses, believing Bolton was a member of DedSec. Bolton pleas with the interrogator and claims that he is not a member of DedSec, and that he is a hacker that steals and sells data, but to no avail. The interrogators accidently knock Bolton unconscious, so they come up with a story that will be used to cover up his disappearance – that he simply just ‘vanished’; which they claim is a plausible lie as Bolton was known to have connections to terrorist organizations. To destroy Bolton’s information on the safehouses, the operative must destroy three data containers situated around the building.
After the data has been destroyed, Bagley sends Nowt the recording of Bolton being tortured, as she asks if she could use the recording of Bolton being tortured and distribute it to tabloids, to try and further SIRS humiliation.
