Southwark Cathedral is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion, in the borough of Southwark.

Summary[]

Southwark Cathedral is a church located in the north west of Southwark, near to HMS Belfast. The main layout of the church resembles a '+' shape, with multiple areas surrounding the main building. The main entrance, on the east side, consists of a seating area and a food bank, with multiple street lamps down the centre. The area contains a lot of maintained shrubbery, particularly on the south side, and has a narrow walkway on the west side which goes underneath a busy road. On the north side, there is also an entrance underneath a small stone archway, and a small rectangular area with a rectangular stone structure which resembles a coffin in the centre. Much of the building's exterior has been graffitied, some of which being DedSec propaganda.

Priest's Speech[]

Found at a food bank by the main entrance on the west side.

The recording of a beloved priest's final speech. He went missing shortly after.

 Audio  Name: Priest's Speech
 Author: Priest

Priest:
Good evening, greeting to you all! Today is about love. What, if not love, binds our souls together in the big family called humanity? God's love and our love for our neighbor both guide our spiritual path. They shine beacons on our moral steps through this life open the gates of a brighter one to come! Love is needed now, more than ever. We have to open up to it and let it guide us. We must show to those unwanted that they have a home, that they have brothers and sisters who care for them, who can offer them peace and warmth and selfless care. This is a calling we must adhere to: Let's open our doors and let's share our bread: let our hearts become mightier than fear and darkness. This parish will become a haven for those who need protection, a bed for the tired, a table for the hungry and an embrace for the lonely. We must all accept this role given to us by our faith, we must not stand by while angst boils into hate. Let's pray.

Zechariah 7:9, Hebrews 13:1-3, Leviticus 19:34...

Why. Why every Sunday, every day do I have to say any of this? I'm exhausted, tired of needing to convince people to take care of one another.

Are we not all His children? Why then, do I need to stand in front of my church - in front of this city, its leaders, its justices, and watch as the simplest message of all... rolls over them? How can they look suffering in its face every day and do nothing?

Father, my faith is being tested. Not in you, but in my fellow man.

I see you in the faces of the volunteers, working here with me but even they are threatened by the anti-immigrant protestors. And protesting what? Kindness? Decency? What would they have me do? Leave our needy on the street to die? Starve?

Grant me strength, Lord. Strength to continue.
