Runaway Blame is a DLC side mission in Watch Dogs: Legion. It is the third and final mission in the Not In Our Name side chapter, and is accessible by purchasing the game's season pass.
Plot[]
After dealing with Rudolph Peck, DedSec then turns their sights back to the fake DedSec and their misdeeds. To do this, the operative hacks into the CTOS hub at Sanford Theatre to gain access to fake DedSec’s camera network in their hackerspace. The feed from their camera shows three members congregating around a series of monitors, shortly before they are blue screened as their computer is hacked.
The real DedSec operative then speaks to them through a speaker in their hackerspace, claiming that they are not the real DedSec. The fake DedSec members are surprised at how they managed to break through their security and also question if the real DedSec knows about an unnamed virus. They state that some of their DedSec members are planning on releasing a virus which will halt the train service at Waterloo Station. Before they can say any more, the real DedSec operative thanks them for the information and leaves. Bagley says that the virus will not only halt the trains, but it will also derail a train. He then issues a plan to stop the virus derailing the train: hack into the Waterloo station rail system, hack the right train, and manually engage its brakes.
The operative hacks the CTOS hub on top of a heavily guarded Waterloo Plaza and gains access to a series of cameras inside an underground train, speeding along the rail system, and audio can be heard of rail workers attempting to remotely stop the train. The player is then given three minutes to solve a network bypass and stop the train before it derails. After completing the bypass and hacking the train’s controls, its brakes are engaged and it slowly grinds to a stop. The operative then must escape an Albion attack at Waterloo Plaza and get to safety. After escaping the assault, Bagley states that he sent information about the fake DedSec‘s operations to the media, and he adds the members to the players recruitable operatives. The player can then complete missions for them and add them to their team.
