The Riot Drone is a type of drone in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Summary[]
The riot drone is a heavily armed drone that is used by SIRS, Albion, and Clan Kelley. When it is in its patrolling state, its rotors are exposed. It features a blue light and generally flies around playing Albion propaganda. When it begins to attack, it deploys a shroud around its rotors that says "DISPERSE" and its light turns red or yellow (yellow means searching, red means fighting). The drone can be hijacked, disabled, or forced to betray if the player purchases the Riot Drone Hacks. These drones appear more often than Counter Terrorism Drones, and they are not as heavily armored as those drones. However, if left unchecked, or if the player lets it sneak up on them, the Riot Drone will kill them, even if they have a high-level character (for instance Aiden Pearce or Wrench.
Weapons[]
The Riot Drone is heavily armed, using a shotgun and pepper spray grenades to cause major damage, and the drone itself is very hard to destroy. When the player engages it, it will immediately begin to attack them. If they are spotted by it, it will follow them and alert others of their presence, however it will not fire. Hacking these drones gives the player access to all the armaments on the drone, and if they use them right, they can eliminate all threats (other drones, enemies, etc.) if they are a low enough tier. (for instance, the Rushers with their body armor). Shotguns will be able to shoot the player down eventually but not before they kill two drones, but this drone can one-shot most other enemies and one-shot a Chase Drone.
