Reporting For Duty is the third story mission in Watch Dogs: Legion, and the second mission in the DedSec Chapter "Squad Goals".
Plot[]
Bagley informs the player that he has gotten information on a SIRS surveillance tool, which he believes will be of good use for future DedSec operations and ultimately finding Zero Day. He directs the player to go to the Ministry of Civic Management to download some data.
Ministry of Civic Management[]
After accessing a data relay, the player and Bagley take the surveillance tool for a test drive in the middle of the Ministry of Civic Management. Upon seeing it is a success, Bagley tries to clone it onto DedSec's servers, but to no avail. As a result, the player has to access a CTOS Hub to find out where the technology is being kept at. It is discovered that the surveillance technology is being held in a server located on the roof of SIRS HQ. However, the whole server needs to be taken away using a Cargo Drone. As a result, a Construction Worker Operative has to be used.
Recruit a Construction Worker[]
- This part of the mission does not occur if you already have an operative that is a Construction Worker.
Bagley gives the player coordinates to a nearby construction yard, in hopes of being able to recruit a construction worker. After approaching a construction worker and revealing that they are a part of DedSec, the construction worker asks the player if they can help with their problem. According to the construction worker, in some form they owe debts to Clan Kelley, but the gang is deliberately siphoning off the construction worker and the construction worker wants it to stop. A recruitment mission begins, where the player has to find a laptop in Camden Market that contains records of debts.
After successfully infiltrating Camden Market and finding the laptop, the player deletes the blackmail data in the laptop. Being thankful for DedSec's help, the construction worker is quick to agree to join DedSec after little persuasion. The player then meets the new operative at The Earl's Fortune to give them their new Optik. However, the new operative begins to have doubts of whether to really join DedSec or not. However, the player manages to convince the new operative to join, and the new operative finally agrees to join.
AR Reconstruction Test[]
After having gotten a Construction Worker Operative in the resistance, the player swaps to the new operative. The player then proceeds to the Westminster Cathedral area to hijack a Cargo Drone and get on top of it to steal the server off SIRS HQ's roof. After grabbing the server off the roof using the Cargo Drone, the player delivers it to another operative nearby in the Nine Elms Walkway with a truck. After swapping to the other operative, the player launches an AR Reconstruction test. However, Bagley requires a wider sample of data, and hence directs the player to deliver the truck to Buckingham Palace.
AR Reconstructions[]
On the journey to Buckingham Palace, Bagley explains to the player how the AR Reconstruction works based off surveillance infrastructure such as ctOS drones, civilians' Optiks and CCTV in the area.
Upon reaching Buckingham Palace, the player launches another AR Reconstruction test. However, the player is ambushed by Albion drones, but manages to escape back to the truck. The player then goes to Piccadilly Circus to launch another AR Reconstruction test. After reaching the location and launching another test, the player is ambushed by Albion officers. While downloading AR data, the player is forced to fight back against Albion officers until the transfer is complete. Once the transfer is complete, Bagley tells the player to get away from the truck as he is about to destroy the servers - and DedSec's interference with it - with an EMP blast.
The EMP blast occurs, causing nearby vehicles and drones to go into a frenzy.
Debrief[]
After successfully cloning the SIRS surveillance technology to DedSec's servers, the team is called back to the Safehouse for a team debrief. Sabine talks with the team, and they discuss on how to take back London. The debrief concludes, and the mission Digging Up the Past begins.
