Project OMNI is an online tactical ops mission in Watch Dogs: Legion.

Description[]

❝ Sequence of high-intensity missions where cooperation is vital❞
―In-game description

Project OMNI is a tactical ops mission consisting of five missions, and communication is key to beating the mode. As the missions are extremely difficult, the game recommends the missions be completed with a full team of four, but only three players are required.

Lobby[]

The player and their teams starts in the lobby, where they can:

  • Edit their operatives' loadouts
  • Switch to other operatives
  • Upgrade their tech
  • Change their operative's appearance
  • Visit the microtransactions store
  • Change social settings
  • Leave the game

Missions[]

Prologue[]

When all the players in the lobby have set their status to ‘ready’ to introductory cutscene begins. During the cutscene, Bagley apologizes for the impromptu setup and discusses the AR anomalies being detected all over London, everything from compression artefacts to visually-induced seizures. Darkweb rumors have led him and Connie to Carcani Medical, who are working on the Optik Mediated Neural Interface, or OMNI for short. The project's leader is Dr. Michael Savard, a friend of Skye Larsen who shares her talent for neuroscience as well as her loose stance on bioethics. Bagley guesses that the spreading Optik anomalies are related to OMNI and asks the operatives to investigate.

Mission 1/5 - Kept Under Glass[]

Fact 1: Londoners have been experiencing strange Optik anomalies. Fact 2: Michael Savard, Carcani Medical's "ethically challenged" lead scientist, has been conducting secret research involving Optiks, code name project OMNI. Coincidence? Oh please. Savard is up to something, and DedSec must contain the anomalies before they spread.

Carcani Medical has a new research project in the works, and it’s poised to change the world one Optik at a time. Whether we like it or not. Time to revoke their patent.

Mission 2/5 - Mindjack[]

DedSec disrupted some of the human-powered networks causing the Optik anomalies in London but were caught in Dr. Savard’s trap, an Optik-hijacking signal. The team will have to break out of the OMNI mindscape if they hope to reach Nexus Tower, the source of the signal broadcast. It's up to DedSec to take this program off the air.

The good news: Project OMNI's network of pod-people is offline. Mostly. The bad news: OMNI has trapped the team inside their own brains. DedSec needs to escape this "mind-jack" and shut down the transmitter at Nexus Tower to avoid a citywide epidemic of Optik-induced lobotomies.

Mission 3/5 - Deep Thought[]

Well. No more human-powered network. No more optic hijacking transmitter. And just when DedSec thought they could call it a day, Michael Savard throws in some high tech security measures. What the hell are Delta Waves anyway? Reaching him is gonna be a pain.

Michael Savard has set up shop at the top of the highest tower in London, seemingly safe, protected by high-tech security and self-delusion. The mind behind OMNI needs a reality check.

Mission 4/5 - Mind Master[]

If you had told DedSec that they were going to be fighting a man who was trying to turn himself into a god, they probably would have believed you. Nothing's surprising anymore, is it? Still, Michael Savard’s ability to hijack people through their Optiks and control them at will is a little unsettling. He needs to be stopped.

Michael Savard is OMNI. He is the mind in control of a network of people linked through their Optiks and used against their wills. The bastard. He’s accessed immense power, and he’s not ready to give it up any time soon. He’s out of his mind. Literally.

Mission 5/5 - From Within[]

DedSec has taken everything Dr. Savard could throw at them: Creepy pod-people. Deadly delta wave emitters. Mindless Albion security stooges. Now the team must survive one last mind-jack attempt by the doctor or be forever merged with the OMNI mega-brain. Just another day's work.

Just when it seemed like DedSec had Michael Savard beaten, the good doctor pulled one more trick out from his virtual sleeve. He’s hijacked the team into his OMNI mindscape again. It may seem a last-ditch effort, but it’s no less dangerous. Second time’s the charm - hopefully.

Rewards[]

Rewards are unlocked at the end of missions.
