| Claire Waters: Are you lost? Or tempest tossed? Welcome to Claire Waters. What do you see when you look up in the sky? Clouds? Stars? I see drones. More and more every day. We're told it's for our safety. To keep crime in check. But what has it really done other than make people more paranoid? When we trade freedom for safety, we build our own cages. |

| SPEECH draft_5 I know it seems fruitless - protestors blanket our city and yet nothing seems to change. But that’s not true. We don’t protest to intimidate lawmakers who are already in the pocket of organized crime. We don’t do it to frighten our mayor or our prime minister into listening to our demands- We protest to show solidarity. To remind the marginalized they are not alone, to remind the people that we haven’t given up - that they shouldn’t give up. And we haven’t! That’s why it’s more important than ever to keep showing up, every day to city hall. Keep making our presence known! We’re in this together, and together we are strong! (Maybe pump fist in the air at the end? Ask Greg if he thinks that’d be too much) |
