Old Canal Warehouse is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Background[]
The Warehouse covers the iconic gasometers constructed by the Imperial Gas Light & Coke Company to supply gas to the Shoreditch Gasworks in 1866, 1888, and 1889. Once gas holders fell out of used, such gasometers fell out of use and were decommissioned. Now a part of the Old Canal Warehouse complex, the area around the decorative iron lattices has been mostly used for storage - and Clan Kelley wrongdoing.
Layout[]
The Warehouse entrance faces into The Oval on the east side (with a lonely ETO skimmer in the center, behind the traffic bariers), but the courtyard with the gasometers is only accessible from the gates to the west, south, and east, paired to closed circuit terminals, necessitating a spiderbot or cargo drone. The adjacent Cargo Collective is also a viable entry point.
The warehouse itself is a mess of cargo containers, overgrown ironwork, and industrial buildings patrolled by Clan Kelley goons, drones, and turrets. The northeastern holder contains a sabotage opportunity on the upper level, which increases the borough's defiance. Directly below the sabotage opportunity is a collectible audio file. The top platform inside the gas holder contains the tech point package, with an ETO skimmer on the opposite one.
The central building, which may spawn a mission target, can be opened by accessing the closed-circuit panel inside the ironworks.

Emergency Dispatcher: 999, which service do you require? Caller: Police, please. Emergency Dispatcher: OK. Connecting. Just hold. Police Officer: Hackney Police, can I help you? Caller: Yes, hello, I'd like to report a possible crime, maybe even a murder! Police Officer: What do you mean, ma'am? Caller: Been hearing some screaming the last few nights, over at that old warehouse, the oval one, yeah? Haven't been able to sleep a wink. But tonight it's gotten worse! Incessant screaming, like someone's being tortured. I think I even heard a couple of gunshots! Police Officer: Madam, I'm sure this is merely someone's telly being turned on too loud. Happens all the time. Caller: Do you mean you're not gonna do anything?! Not even come and investigate it? You lot are good for nothing these days, aren't you? Police Officer: I wouldn't say that, ma'am. We do plenty around here, you know? Why, just the other day I was directing the traffic. Caller: Wanker! |
