NeoGate is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Background[]
NeoGate is one of London's foremost cybersecurity companies and a leading company in the field of antiviruses, speculated due to being affiliated with Clan Kelley (unofficially, of course).[1][2]
The affiliation is true and the Kelleys have been secretly expanding the company's infrastructure to implement Mary Kelley's most ambitious venture, the Golden Goose darkweb market. This has raised the suspicion of NeoGate employees, who have tried independently to figure out what was going on at the company, with at least one getting too close to comfort.[3][4][5]
Layout[]
NeoGate is a rectangular, repurposed industrial building serving as the company's headquarters. Access from the street is severely restricted with locked reinforced doors (which require hacking closed circuit terminals nearby). The western courtyard allows access into the building, but is patrolled by Kelley goons (and includes one of the audio files on the side and another by the barge).
Inside, the building is oriented along a center, tall hallways. The western part is the reception area, with a terminal connected to the door, leading into the main corporate area, with a conference room on the side (with a text file) and access to the underground. To open the door you need to access a closed circuit terminal upstairs, in the other break area.
Infiltrating the server room requires either navigating the tunnels like during the mission to dismantle Mary Kelley's Golden Goose darkweb operation, or going through the security scanners and jumping into the vents. This grants access to an ETO skimmer on the table and a tech point bundle in the vents at the bottom of the chimney (accessible through the vents in the server room).
The other ETO skimmer is on the edge of the northeastern tower, on the roof.

Neogate Audio Log number 1-4-7. The date is November the fourth, twenty twenty-three. We received a shipment last week of what is said to be the latest technological advancement in solar panels. Whatâs really of note is the overwhelming amount of energy theyâre capable of generating. Neogate Audio Log #14. Shit. Why am I even doing this? If any of the Kelleys find out I'm keeping a record... [sigh] We received a shipment of solar panels last week. Latest technological advancement. Bleeding edge, right? I noticed they output an overwhelming amount of energy. I'm still not entirely sure what they are for or their purpose, but I have an idea... there've been rumours circulating about some of the activities going on in the building but our superiors discourage any questions. Hello, this is Roger Morris from Neo - will you pipe down over there? I'm trying to record something!... Uh, yes, I am making this audio log if ever the true activities that are occurring in this building should ever come to light. Many of us here have noticed the flurry of subtle, well-planned, but nonetheless suspicious activity that occurs here week after week. There is also little-to-no communication between us and management. This week, we noticed some rather large shipments being funneled through the canal from Battlebridge right into the building. Curiosity got the better of me, so I discreetly opened one of the packages while making on its way inside, to discover computer parts. But no one in shipments received had any record of anything new being brought in recently! I shall continue investigating, while I hope that my worst fears about what's really going on here are not true. |
Behind the scenes[]
- NeoGate #2 has a different text leftover in the files: "Neogate Audio Log number 1-4-7. The date is November the fourth, twenty twenty-three. We received a shipment last week of what is said to be the latest technological advancement in solar panels. Whatâs really of note is the overwhelming amount of energy theyâre capable of generating. I don't believe-" This suggests that Legion was originally going to be set in 2023.

- â Bagley: "NeoGate hasn't been around for long, but they're leading the antivirus market. I'd bet the Kelleys have something to do with this growing success. Regardless, we're about to destroy all of it."

- â Briefing: "DedSec discovered that Mary Kelley is setting up a darkweb marketplace called the Golden Goose, which deals in slaves, organs, and contraband. This is the evidence that Inspector Kaitlin Lau needs to complete her case. The servers are located at Neogate.
Find the Golden Goose servers, recover the evidence Kaitlin needs, and then destroy them."
