The MP-412 is a weapon that appears in Watch Dogs. It is only available on the console versions of the game.

Design

The design of the handgun is based on that of the real life MP412 REX, a Russian-designed revolver for export (REX literally stands for Revolver for Export). It also has an interesting reload mechanism and auto-ejector.

Performance

Its damage rating is neither remarkably high nor low, so the best tactic is to aim for weak points, such as the head, or for police officers, the knees.

Unlocking

To unlock the MP-412, players must purchase the Watch Dogs 1 + Watch Dogs 2 Gold Edition Bundle.

Formerly, players had to visit the Watch Dogs promotional site from Monster Energy. Then, players must type out some information and the code for the MP-412 as well as select the platform they would like a DLC code for. A redeemable DLC code that can be used to unlock the handgun would be generated upon clicking the "Submit" button.

However, the website has not been updated for years, and this method no longer works. As of March 2, 2017, the gun can now be obtained from the Watch Dogs 1 + Watch Dogs 2 Gold Editions Bundle.

Xbox 360

1. Insert Watch Dogs Disc 2 while the Xbox 360 console is connected to the internet.
2. On the Main Menu of Watch Dogs, select "Additional Content", and then "Redeem Code".
3. Enter the code from the Monster Energy site.

Xbox One

1. Go to "Games", then select "Use a code". Or, say “Xbox, use code.”
2. If prompted, sign in.
3. Select "Or enter the 25 character code".
4. Enter the code from the Monster Energy site.

PlayStation 3

1. Create a Sony Entertainment Network account (or log in to PSN using an existing Sony Entertainment Network account).
2. From the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB, select "PlayStation Store".
3. Select "Redeem Codes" from the navigation menu on the left.
4. Enter the code from the Monster Energy site.

PlayStation 4

1. Open a Sony Network Entertainment account on PSN (or use your existing Sony Entertainment Network account).
2. Select the "PlayStation Store" icon on the PS4 system home screen.
3. On PlayStation Store, select "Redeem Codes" at the bottom of the menu.
4. Enter the code from the Monster Energy site.

Trivia

• The gun's sound effect seems to be a mix between that of the D50 and the Chrome.
• It was possible to acquire the gun outside of North America during the Monster Energy promotion. The player simply had to go to the promotional website and input the code above, then input the redeemable code into their copy of Watch Dogs, and the weapon would be unlocked.
  • However, website has been shutdown for years, making this impossible to do.
