Hey Marcus! Welcome to Asshole Club!
―Lenni to Marcus during Caustic Progress

Lenora Kastner, better known as Lenni, is a character in Watch Dogs 2. Lenni is an antagonist and the leader of a hacking group called Prime_Eight, a rival hacker group to DedSec.

Biography

Before Watch Dogs 2

Lenni grew up in the tough neighborhood of Hunter's Point, but managed to pull her grades and finances together to get into Stanford on a scholarship. Unfortunately, Lenni never got a chance to graduate. She was busted on campus for possession of marijuana. She still had friends and followers, however, who got her into areas of Stanford she wasn't supposed to access, and she became infamous for creating a hacker space in the basement of Stanford University's CompSci building, turning one of the most reputable locations in the country into her own personal hive of scum and villainy. It was there that the nascent PRIME_EIGHT was born, out of desire to undermine Stanford and to cleave together students like herself who weren't rich, who were on the outskirts of popularity.

Events of Watch Dogs 2

During the events of Watch Dogs 2, Lenni is hired by Dušan Nemec to defang DedSec for a large amount of money, which she happily accepts due to her looking down on DedSec for their "sell-out" attitude, such as their pro-common people political activism, which she regards as annoying and infuriatingly naive. She has Prime_Eight hack DedSec to lock them out of their technology and makes her own video mocking them. Marcus Holloway meets her and asks nicely for the key back. She mocks DedSec even more and says she will only give them their key back if they make a video shaming themselves.

After Marcus hurts Lenni's ATM skimmer business with the Sons of Ragnarok, a biker gang, she calls him, annoyed, and calls him a series of made-up curses. Marcus then meets her later to scan the RFID chip in her arm implant, but Lenni notices this and backs away from him, even though he ends up scanning it successfully anyway. Marcus breaks into a Prime_Eight bunker to steal a data key, and when he does, Lenni activates bombs that are rigged to blow as a failsafe. She again underestimates him as Marcus defuses the charges via hacking and escapes the bunker, ultimately taking it for DedSec, and Prime_Eight lose their main base of operations.

Events of Caustic Progress

Lenni Reaches out to Marcus months later, asking him to meet her at a Wild's Club by the Oakland marina. Once there, she informs him of a problem plaguing the nearby homeless community via mobile health clinics and nano-technology. Wary of Lenni's intentions, he does not believe her even after she pulls out a vial with nano-tech inside. She states that he will follow-up on the situation as he cannot help himself.

After some investigating by Marcus, he agrees to go with Lenni to infiltrate the RenSense building to put a stop to their unethical experimentation on the homeless population of San Francisco. Outside the building, Lenni meets Josh, who she refers to as a little puppy and offers to bring him home with her to work for Prime_Eight instead of DedSec. As they are heading inside, Lenni stops Marcus from taking Josh inside, stating that they are not risking him, Josh states he simply wants to see the nano-tech. Lenni then tells him that she will let him play with whatever nano-tech they find inside but he can't come. Marcus finds the whole interaction creepy and aske Lenni what her fascination is with him. Lenni states that he just reminds her of someone.

Once inside, Lenni tasks Marcus with hacking through the front door with her. Once it was opened though, Lenni ran off into the facility, taunting Marcus as she put her own agenda into action. Lenni only wanted DedSec to help infiltrate RenSense so she could steal the nano-tech for herself, Prime_Eight, and to sell on the black market. Marcus and the team succeed in destroying all remaining nano-tech, research data, and freeing any homeless still being held in the facility. Lenni manages to escape the building with six remaining vials of nano-tech but is intercepted by Josh who uses her soft spot for him to be able to see the nano-tech, and while she is distracted, runs a kill switch under the case, rendering it all inert.

Appearance

Lenni has very thin hair on the sides and keeps it somewhat long on the top. She has circular glasses, which are also black. Lenni can also be seen with small black gauges. She wears an unbuttoned jacket with a gray shirt underneath, with a purple outline that has an odd-looking figure similar to a popular meme. Lenni wears blue jeans and gray sneakers with a pink outline to go with her outfit. Lenni is a rather short and large woman, compared to other characters such as Marcus. A computer chip implant also exists on her left arm, which has confidential information in it. Alongside this, she also has three circular bio-implants on her outer right forearm that glow a purple colour, although these are believed to only hold an aesthetic function. The light scars on her face are actually a bioluminescent tattoo of a skull, this can only be properly seen under UV light as evidenced when Marcus meets with her during Hacker War.

Appearance during Caustic Progress

Lenni has changed her main outfit by the events of Caustic Progress, trading out her jacket and shirt combo, for a long-sleeved purple shirt dotted with cursors, and a black vest with the Prime_Eight logo on the back. She has swapped her black-rimmed glasses out for purple ones. She also carries a red and black vape pen around, casually smoking it as she talks.

Skills and Abilities

  • Hacking Skills: Her hacking skills are impressive, while also being bolstered by her team in Prime_Eight, allowing her to easily hack into DedSec's servers and make a mockery of them.
  • Bionic Implant: She has a bionic implant in her arm, which serves as her entry key into Prime_Eight's bunkers, and to access her phone.

  • Lenni prefers insulting people to being nice to them, whether it be Marcus and the group, or a simple bartender. Regardless of whether she is needing their help or not.
  • Lenni and Prime_Eight were possibly responsible for helping the Church of the New Dawn erase their digital footprint, based on findings by Sitara.
  • She has an interest in Josh Sauchak, that Marcus describes as "Super creepy". When questioned about it, Lenni simply says that he reminds her of someone.
