Lake Michigan is a large lake that appears in Watch Dogs. Chicago is located at the southwest point of the lake, and the lake is the large body of water located east of the map, east of the city. The Harbor Lighthouse is located on the lake.

The lake borders Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana, and is one of the Great Lakes. The lake is a focal trading point between other cities, which explains the areas in the Brandon Docks district with shipping crates and cargo ships. Every district in Chicago is accessible by water, either by the lake or by the Chicago River, which are connected.

- If the player travels far enough east, either by swimming or navigating a boat, they will hit an invisible barrier that prevents them from escaping.
