Information Overload is the borough uprising mission for Southwark in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Plot[]
After DedSec increases Southwark’s defiance, an operative meets a contact outside Kings College. After thanking DedSec for standing up to Albion in their borough, they also state that after doing some digging, they discovered that Albion’s global information centre is located in London. The information centre is the hub for Albion control, which deals with the company’s finances, tactics, and other vital operations – the perfect target for DedSec to help take down Albion.
At Nexus Tower, the operative must make their way past guards to reach an elevator to reach the operations server. This leads them to a no-human zone, where the only way to access the servers is to use a maintenance drone. Bagley informs the operative that causing a power surge will most likely cause chaos for Albion’s servers. To do this, they must use the hijacked maintenance drone to find a high-capacity battery, which must be dropped into the server’s core to cause a power surge. The player must avoid steam pipes, security lasers and Albion guards to reach the battery room.
After locating the battery, Bagley instructs the operative to take it back to the server room and drop it in the core. After overloading the core, Albion’s international operations are scrambled and the operative leaves Nexus Tower. Southwark celebrates as it is turned defiant, and the contact says that DedSec has the people of Southwark on their side, with Bagley later stating that he released news about Albion’s logistics to the public, which would most likely cause an all-time low for confidence in Albion.
