Gates & Garages is a Hacking Skill available in Watch Dogs.

Once this skill is purchased, Aiden can now open and close gates and garage doors using his Profiler. This can allow him to access gates to industrial areas, etc. that would normally be unavailable to pass through without the skill, or to enter underground parking garages by opening a garage door. Though this is not quite an attack, there are two main purposes of this skill.
The skill can be used to distract enemies if one is nearby, allowing Aiden to sneak past them or give him time to kill them using a silencer pistol or takedown. Last but not least, it can be used to enter underground parking garages or inaccessible areas locked with gates so Aiden can hide from chasing enemies or police or used as a shortcut.
