CTOS Scan is a craftable item in Watch Dogs.
Description[]
The CtOS Scan is a portable scan that detects enemies in the map, not counting other players. The tool requires a system key and electronic parts to be crafted. The CTOS Scan can also be used by the Chicago Police Department to find Aiden or a player in the event they commit a crime and a civilian calls 911.
Usage[]
The CTOS Scan that Aiden uses and the CTOS scan that the Chicago Police Department uses to find Aiden are vastly different. The CTOS Scan that Aiden uses is instant and cannot be disrupted by Jam Communications. It also automatically profiles enemies and gives them an enemy marker that shows their rank. This CTOS Scan is useful for gand hideouts to find where enemies are on the map without having to wait or profile them first.
The CTOS Scan that the Chicago Police Department uses to find Aiden in the case that he commits a crime is not instant, and takes around thirty seconds to complete, allowing Aiden to escape the CTOS Scan before it can complete. This version of CTOS Scan can be interrupted by Jam Communications for around 10 seconds before it can continue, allowing Aiden to escape the scan.
