Elizabeth Tower, commonly known as Big Ben, is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Summary[]
Elizabeth Tower is the name for the clock tower at the north end of the Palace of Westminster. It is located in the City of Westminster borough of London in Watch Dogs: Legion. Each of the dials made of pot opal glass pieces in a cast iron frame, while the minute hands are long as a double decker bus. Unlike many Roman numeral clock dials, which show the "4" position as IIII, the Great Clock faces correctly depict "4" as IV.
The name "Big Ben" actually refers to the largest bell inside Elizabeth Tower, not the tower itself. There are five bells inside the belfry directly above the dial, four quarter bells which play the Westminster Quarters on the quarter hours, and large Big Ben chimes the hour. Big Ben itself has a crack that give the bell its distinct note. The quarter bells play a once-repeating, 16 note chime which sounds 25 seconds before the main bell tolls the hour. Because the largest quarter bell is struck twice in quick succession, there is not enough time to pull a hammer back, and it is supplied with two wrench hammers on opposite sides of the bell.
Events of Watch Dogs: Legion[]
During the events of Watch Dogs: Legion, following Operation Westminster and Albion's rise to power, the tower is enshrined in Albion propaganda, including large holographic Albion logos. To rid Elizabeth Tower of this, the player must turn the City of Westminster borough defiant. Once the Borough is defiant, the clock tower can be heard chiming once again, though only the hour chimes play.
