Chase Drones are a drone type in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Summary[]
Chase Drones are often employed as a means of chasing down fleeing suspects, boasting the speed and agility to keep up with vehicles, and are small and nimble enough to get into areas that the Riot and Counter Terrorism Drones cannot reach. The player can temporarily deactivate them using the Chase Drone Hacks hack, and permanently using the Chase Drone Deactivation upgrade.
Weapons[]

Variants[]
Common Chase Drone[]
The Common Chase Drone is armed with only a non-lethal stun gun that fires a slow-moving projectile to incapacitate targets. The drone's gun has a long recharge time of approximately 3.5 seconds, making it impractical for use in a direct confrontation unless the player is seeking to simply subdue rather then kill. However, the gun does have the ability to lock on to the target closest to the crosshair (as indicated by a laser sight on the locked target) and correct the player's aim to fire in the target's direction, and if it is fired upon a vehicle, it will disable the vehicle temporarily, or destroy one with enough damage.
The Chase Drone also is one of the fastest drones in the game, only second to its elite variant, with a top speed of 25.5 meters per second. This speed does prove to be a double edged sword however, as this makes it very likely the player will accidentally crash on something. Coupled by the drone's very poor durability, and it is very easy to damage or even destroy a Chase Drone simply by piloting it recklessly.
The drone also is noted to lack armor, so much so that most weapons can easily destroy a chase drone in only a few shots. In fact, the LTL 68P DedSec Pistol is capable of destroying one in only three to four shots.
Elite Chase Drone[]
A Elite variant of the Chase Drone can be used while liberating the Islington & Hackney borough. However, the mission it is involved in is the only time the player is able to use it.
The Elite Chase Drone improves upon the base Chase Drone with a faster recharging stun gun that does far more damage, has a much greater top speed, and boasts a much wider range that extends as large as the entire borough. Additionally, it comes with a respectable amount of armor that enables it to take more then a few hits from gunfire. The only downside to the Elite version is that its maximum altitude is reduced, presumably due to the risk of Albion being able to disconnect the drone from the player's control if they fly too high up.
