Charing Cross Station is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion.

Background[]

A railway and tube station located on the Thames River embankment, Charing Cross is most notable for the Charing Cross Hotel, opened in 1865 and built in the French Renaissance style. Damaged in 1905 and extensively rebuilt, it remains in use as a public transit hub. It also bore witness to some of the nastier examples of moral decay under Albion: After Glen Lancaster, IT Support Lead for the London underground, discovered that Abdulaziz “Giz” Gimazetdinova, IT Support Manager, installed a skimmer to shave off fractions of a pence to deposit them in her account, he blackmailed her superior in an attempt to get a cut.[1]

When that failed, he reported her to Albion, which in its racist, authoritarian fashion abducted her for deportation. Thus, Glen secured access to skimmer and a promotion for himself.[2]

Layout[]

The tube access is located on both sides of the building, with the Embankment station facing Thames and the Charing Cross the City of Westminster. There are two text files to collect, one on the skybridge connecting it to an adjacent building (use a cargo drone to access it) and another

Charing Cross #1

SUBJECT: Sorry about the theatrics
Hey everyone,
So let me start by addressing the incident a few days ago. I know there’s a lot of rumours flying around, so I just want to confirm the facts.
First, Giz WAS taken by Albion for immigration reasons. I’m not sure on the specifics, and I don’t think it does anyone any good to speculate.
Second, we have no way of knowing who reported him or why. I know he was well-liked, but I can’t have any of you turning on each other either. We’re still a team.
Lastly, on a happier note, I can confirm that management has asked me to step in to Giz’s old position, at least for the time being.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Charing Cross #1

FROM: G. Lancaster
TO: A. Gimazetdinova
SUBJECT: Got you
Hey Giz,
Recognise the attachment?
You should, it’s your script. I’ll remind you, though. It’s the one shaving fractions of a p off Oyster reloads with every transaction. I have to say, it’s pretty clever. With the pound tanking, the math doesn’t work out so cleanly anymore. Those hanging digits were just getting rounded down. Now they’re being put to use.
Anyway, look. Cut me in and this doesn’t have to go any further.

Hey Glen,
Don’t know what you’re talking about. And if I did, it would be blackmail, which is also illegal. So you couldn’t screw me without screwing yourself.
Cheers,
Abdulaziz “Giz” Gimazetdinova
