Cargo drone is a controllable heavy transport drone in Watch Dogs: Legion.

Background[]

Developed by Ixatech, the heavy cargo drones have revolutionized industrial work in London and other cities, capable of ferrying heavy cargo long distance thanks to the four turbofan engines mounted on their four edges, providing a stable, powerful platform.[1] While ubiquitous, the drawback is that they have caused considerable layoffs among transportation workers, contributing to the hellish unemployment rate in the UK.[2]

Characteristics[]

The humble cargo drone is a mandatory part of the TOAN bombing investigation, where you have to recruit a Construction Worker to obtain one, but afterwards is likely to become an integral part of your arsenal. The reason is simple: Mobility. The cargo drone can be called down at any drone platform in the city and then hijacked indefinitely, providing a mobile platform that can scale virtually any wall and obstacle, bypassing Albion fortifications, security guards, fences, and more. While not omnipotent (once hijacked, it can be detected and destroyed by ground fire, with injury or death awaiting any operative riding it), it gives you a massive boost to mobility, especially when you combine it with the infiltrator bot (which can survive quite a fall intact).

Wrench has an unique version of the cargo bot named Sergei in his arsenal, which is more durable, armed, and comes with unique voice lines.

Some guys were having trouble at the dock this morning, a couple of men didn't show up to work. The shipment was way too heavy, but thank God one of the cargo drones was able to lift it. Saved them a ton of money and possibly even some back pain, haha. There should be more drones with utilization like that. Would make the world a hell of a better place."
  2. ↑ Ambient conversation: "To hear them blame illegals. Fuck. They're not the ones taking jobs, right? Most of them have been rounded up the EPC anyway, yeah? He's a fucking truck-driver! No illegal's taken his job. There's cargo drones flying all over the city and he can't make two plus two equal four."
