The Canadian High Commission is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion. It is named after the Canadian diplomatic mission, while the building itself is also referred to as the "Canadian Embassy" or by its proper name, "Canada House". It is located in the City of Westminster borough of London.
Background[]
Originally two buildings erected in 1824 and 1827 to serve the Royal College of Physicians and the Union Club, the Canada House came into existence when Canada purchased the two buildings and renovated them, resulting in a single Greek Revival building matching the Canadian ambitions. It remains the seat of the nation's diplomatic mission in 2030, and has ran unofficial intelligence operations to verify the conditions at the European Processing Centre; however, due to political considerations, the Canadian government refused to confront UK over its human rights violations, much to the disgust of operatives involves.[1] As a result, the Commission refuses aid to people at risk of deportation (or rather, internment at the EPC), citing a lack of evidence of these violations as the reason.[2]
Activities[]
Layout[]
The Canadian High Commission (or the "Canadian Embassy") is an ambassador building in the City of Westminster, just west of the London Carriage Service Headquarters, and south of the National Gallery, as well as east of Trafalgar Square. While the interior is inaccessible, the roof is accessible via a lift on the eastern side.
All the collectibles are on the roof: One text file is on the southern end, next to the tech point bundle (under the stairs, requires a spiderbot), while the other is one the edge of the northern side of the roof.

LEVEL III: ENHANCED TOP SECRET OPERATION: WATCHFUL ARROW ASSIGNED TO: MASON, n.o.c.; NASH, n.o.c.; and Kerwin, d.o.c. OBJECTIVE: Build an intelligence network in and around Elek Grounds aka, the "European Processing Centre" to investigate/confirm reports of extreme conditions. STATUS: Operative reports and hard surveillance confirm that conditions inside the oval have deteriorated significantly. RECOMMENDATIONS: Canada's political relationship with the UK limits covert influence opportunities. Solution will have to be political. Strategic leak of intelligence could put pressure on UN. SUPERVISORY NOTES (KERWIN): It has been made clear to operational team that political situation at home makes action untenable. Forgive the editorialization, but in my opinion, it's rank cowardice that PM won't pick a fight with an ally in election year. But in the absence of courage, we must recommend this report is burned. If it were to leak, the PM may force to act regardless. |

APPLICATION FOR WORK VISA TO COMMONWEALTH OF CANADA No. 45288776 Name: Dr. Fredo Benazzi Profession: University Professor (Political Science) Born: Naples, Italy Residing: London, England CASE Dr. Benazzi finds himself in the same precarious situation as so many European expatriates. Though he was living in London under residence status granted by EU membership pre-Brexit, but when he applied for permanent residence through the new system, his application was rejected. His immigration status is now in legal limbo. Dr. Benazzi believes that conditions at the EPC constitute a "moral crisis," and that any attempt to deport him would be tantamount to condemning him to "months, if not more" of torture. He is not currently in a financial position to leave the country via commercial means. NOTES: Conditions at the EPC are unconfirmed. Therefore, there is no humanitarian rationale for approving Dr. Benazzi's case. STATUS: APPLICATION DENIED |
