- ❝ I can't believe Albion had the brass to splatter their propaganda all over Buckingham Palace.❞
- ―Bagley
Buckingham Palace is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion. It is one of the most famous London landmarks and is home to the British monarchy.
Summary[]
Buckingham Palace is situated to the west of the map, towards the east of the City of Westminster borough. The area is split into a restricted and non-restricted area, with the latter primarily consisting of the Victoria Memorial. The restricted area is guarded by Royal Guards as well as Albion, and is comprised of a main gate with two smaller gates on either side in front of a large, open area with a car park to the left side. There is also a small garden area to the left of the building. The roof of the building is also accessible, however only by using a construction drone. This is the only location in the game where these royal guards can be found. It should be noted that Buckingham Palace and Buckingham Palace Gardens are separate areas in the game.
Borough Defiance Opportunity[]
An opportunity to increase the borough's defiance can be found here. Atop the building, a CTOS terminal can be found to remove Albion's propaganda from the front of the building.

Daily Post: LAST DAYS OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE? By Caitlin Black-Brackton Her Majesty the Queen has not been seen in public for many months, and sources close to the Royal Family report that she has fallen ill. With hostility to Western nations on the rise, an inquiring mind must wonder if Her Majesty's malady really is just a coincidence. Following an act of foreign terrorism as egregious as the bombings, could we really be shocked if one of our nation's most sacred symbols had also been targeted? After all, foreign political assassinations in the UK are at their highest rate since the cold war. Press secretary for the Royal Family, Gertrude Applecroft, had this to say: "This line of questioning is irresponsible. We will not be commenting on Her Majesty's health, because there is nothing to comment on." The Lady doth protest too much, methinks. Keep reading the Daily Post for updates as this story develops. |

Your Royal Highnesses, I hope this letter finds you in good health, though if the reports in the gossip pages are accurate in any way at all, I fear that may be rank optimism. Please forgive my impudence for what I am about to ask. The United Kingdom burns, but I am old enough to remember other times barbarians have rattled the gates. In those times, you would step forward with a kind, firm voice and remind us of who we were, and what we could overcome when we pooled our strength. You were a beacon on the shore to ships lost in the night. And this is our darkest night in many, many years. I fear the customary sign-off may be interpreted as cruel, given the aforementioned tabloid reports. So I will modify it to underline my appeal. God save us all, |
