The MatarHorn Trucks Boxvan (also known as a Box Truck) is a vehicle in Watch Dogs and Watch Dogs 2, although its name was revealed in Watch Dogs 2.
Design[]
The truck is the variation of the Flatbed Truck, having a large Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester (GRP) box on the back, longer wheelbase and taller smokestack. While the Flatbed has a single compartment on either side, the Boxvan has two compartments on the left side and a single compartment on the right side.
In Watch Dogs, the Boxvan always spawns with a blank box, and in Watch Dogs 2, they will spawn with a company livery, such as HMP Studios, mostly found throughout the Bay Area while Expedite and Quinkie's liveries are only found in Oakland. Also, the Boxvan possesses the same rear doors as the Cube Truck. There are actually two identical types of Boxvans, however the only difference is that one has a "crest" on top of the cab called a roof top, while the other does not.
Performance[]
The Boxvan has average top speed and handling, but its acceleration is low. The durability of this vehicle, like various trucks, is high, allowing to withstand large amount of crashes.
The 8-speed gearbox seems to be a rare use of an auxiliary gearbox in-game; a secondary gearbox working very similar to twin-geared bikes, with the secondary gearbox having less gears than the primary gearbox, but giving the primary gearbox more potential by allowing a higher combination of gears. The exact same feature is found on the Cement Truck.
