Bare Knuckle Leagues are an activity in Watch Dogs: Legion.

Summary[]

Bare Knuckle Leagues are physical fights across London, organized and streamed online by Clan Kelley. They are accessible following the Restart DedSec story mission, and can be initiated after scanning graffiti located near the Parliament Square Gardens. There are five arenas that can be fought in; defeating all opponents in an area will grant the player the ability to recruit such opponents into DedSec.

Locations[]

Location Arena Borough
Around LDN Bus Depot Garage Southwark
Camden Market Stage Camden
Opposite Chinatown Slaughterhouse City of Westminster
Solar Garden Garden Nine Elms
The Old Barley Mill Cellar Tower Hamlets

Special Fighters[]

Smoke Bomb

Stage 2 Smoke Bomb Special Fighter

Throughout each iteration of the Bare Knuckle League, the player will have to fight a total of 4 fighters. This is made up of 3 Amateurs and one special Fighter. Each Fighter requires the player to defeat them twice, once in a normal fight like the Amateurs, and then again where the Fighter employs a unique ability of theirs:

  • Smoke Bomb: This Fighter will begin round 2 of their fight with smoke. Unless your character has gas immunity, your operative will be mildly dazed. This Fighter will require you to spot when they come out of the smoke, and to anticipate their attacks.
  • Dirty Fighter: This Fighter will begin round 2 with an extra melee weapon, typically a crow bar. This results in the opponent having higher damage, so you'll be expected to dodge more accurately to bypass the weapon.
  • Backup: This Fighter will begin round 2 with 3 extra people on their side. Players will need to face 4 opponents instead of one. However, the 'backup' opponents have a health equivalent to a civilian, which makes them easier to take down than the actual Fighter. All 4 must be taken down to win, so just knocking out the Fighter won't end combat.
  • Duos: This is the only special Fighter encounter where only one round is required. Players will need to face 2 regular opponents at the same time with no extra gimmicks. Defeating both will result in a win.

Recruitment Abilities[]

Abilities

Example of Fighter Menu after fight is won

As Bagley states when you first get the side mission of the same name, you are able to recruit some or all of the Amateurs and/or the Fighters after you have won. The difference is Amateurs will typically only have one special ability, while Fighters can have an upward of about 4 special abilities.

Bare Knuckle Amateurs typically only have one of the following Abilities:

  • Mouth Guard: Take less melee damage
  • Strong Counters: Damage up after perfect dodge
  • K.O Punch: Faster Knockouts

Bare Knuckle Fighters, the 'boss fight' of each Arena, can have one or more of the following Abilities:

  • Shockwave Strike: Staggers enemies
  • Crowbar: Light melee weapon
  • Mouth Guard: Take less melee damage
  • Tear Gas: Damage and disorient enemies
  • Bandana: Gas immunity
  • Kinetic Charger: Melee charges gadgets
  • Glass Cannon: Take/deal more damage
  • Rally Cry: Call friends to fight

Reward[]

  • Completing the side quest of the same name which requires winning in all five arenas rewards the player with a a new Gloves clothing option.
