Barbican Centre is a location in Watch Dogs: Legion.
Background[]
The Barbican is a large residential complex built in place of the Cripplegate ward following the destruction suffered during World War II, built from 1957 onwards. Aimed at middle and upper-middle class professionals, Barbican's locations gradually ensured that the value of the properties would only appreciate with time, and by 2030, much of the Barbican was owned by rich landlords renting them out. This fine example of brutalist architecture has also attracted the attention of Albion, who turned the inner public court into military storage, detention facility, and command center. This has sent property prices into freefall, much to the dismay of the rich landlords.[1]
Albion also rents units for their own troops, who have a tendency to be quite lax in their operational security protocols.[2]
Layout[]
The Barbican court is isolated by Albion security checkpoints and is organized with the detention center in the western part, the command center covered by a turret and security scanners in the center, and storage to the east. The audio file is located in the western part, beyond the detention cells, while the other audio file is located in the arboretum northeast of the Barbican Centre.
Darcy Clarkson has a special objective here, taking out a Templar Commander who oversees surveillance operations.[3]

Barbican Centre

| Beeping, the sound of an answering machine. Ms. Pemberton-Barlow: Yes. This is Tansy Pemberton-Barlow. I own a number of units in the Barbican, and let me just start by saying that I find it terribly rude and disrespectful that as a longtime, and upstanding resident of this centre, I can't even speak to an actual human on the phone. Damn it! (sighs) Now, in my capacity as chairperson of the residents' committee, we are submitting an official complaint. That you have yet to respond to our petition is absolutely unacceptable. The continued occupation of the premises by your military organization has destroyed the value of our properties. Something must be done! Goodness knows security is paramount to keep the - the rabble from troubling the residents, but honestly! At what cost?! I expect a response forthwith so that we may come to a satisfactory conclusion of this - this business! Thank you. |

| Claire Waters: Thirsty for the truth? Wet your whistle with Claire Waters. Ever since we settled this island, there have been Brits who hate on immigrants. Never mind that their great-great-great-great-grand-migrants likely came from somewhere else - they're here now and that's what counts. Who needs Enoch Powell and his "Rivers of Blood" when we have Albion and their anti-immigrant propaganda? |
