Plot[]
Many years after the events of the original Watch Dogs, the London bombings cause London to be placed in a state of martial law, with the original London cell of DedSec destroyed, and the second yet to begin. Meanwhile, 4,000 miles away, in Chicago, Aiden Pearce hides in a car under a bridge while he waits for the police to pass. He wakes up and receives a phone call from Jordi Chin, which he answers. Jordi states he has a fixer contract for Aiden, in London. Aiden is hesitant at first but agrees when he remembers that London is where his nephew Jackson lives. Aiden then hangs up and speeds away, and the screen fades. Later, Aiden rides boat down the Thames in London, and the Captain on the boat gives Aiden an Optik to help him blend in, and informs Aiden that he was unable to get Aiden his car due to the London bombings.
Later, Aiden exits a taxi outside Broca Tech, while an unknown voice describes the contract to him. The voice instructs Aiden to investigate a merger between two companies, BrocaTech Corp. and Rempart Automated Defence Systems SA, or Rempart SA for short. The voice also provides some context for Aiden: Rempart SA is a French security firm specialising in robotic forces. Rempart attempted to purchase BrocaTech, however the deal was stalled as Thomas Rempart, the CEO of Rempart SA, sabotaged the deal when BrocaTech made their âDeep Labsâ entity a separate company. The voice explains that Rempart's delay is illegal under French law, and instructs Aiden to break into the Broca Tech Deep Labs and discover what Rempart is willing to risk lawsuits over. Finally, the voice requests documentation and physical samples to support, saying that discretion is recommended.
Aiden then accesses the Deep Labs, and must use a computer to get past a security door. As well as unlocking the door, an audio file plays, which says that Rempart is stalling the deal as he is mainly interested in a piece of technology known as the BrocaBridge, which is being developed by BrocaTechâs Deep Labs. Infiltrating the lab further, Aiden comes across an unconscious guard, which, after investigation, is shown to have electric burns in random places, most likely from a taser weapon, revealing Aiden isn't the only one in the Deep Labs. A piece of evidence reveals that Rempart's Mark 2 robots require the BrocaBridge to work, explaining why Thomas Rempart is desperate to get it. It is also revealed that Rempart has already sold many Mark 2 robots. Another text file says that Rempart stole their robot design from another inventor.
Aiden then attempts to retrieve footage, getting attacked by security guards during the download. Afterwards, webcam footage plays showing Thomas Rempart speaking to another woman, Stephanie Audiard. Audiard explains to Rempart that BrocaTech will agree to the merger as long as Rempart steps down as CEO. Rempart realizes he is damned even if he doesn't step down, as he will be arrested for fraud, yet he will still be thrown under the bus if he does. The footage ends after Audiard says she believes people may be watching. Aiden then heads to the BrocaBridge chamber, coming across a guard along the way, who is taken out by an unseen intruder. Aiden decides to steal the BrocaBridge; however, as he goes in to reach for it, it is picked up by an invisible entity, which Aiden attempts to fire at. He misses, and the intruderâs identity is revealed â Wrench.
Aiden tries to get the device back from him but Wrench refuses, saying he needs it for something. A chase begins as Aiden attempts to retrieve the BrocaBridge. Aiden is unable to catch up to him, but Wrench traps himself inside a room and begins to set explosives against a wall. Aiden states he recognizes Wrench from the San Francisco cell of DedSec, but Wrench claims he is currently not doing an operation for them. The wall explodes, and Wrench climbs onto Sergei, his personal construction drone, with Aiden in pursuit. The pair fight on Wrenchâs drone until Wrench gains the upper hand and manages to knock Aiden off it with a flashbang. Wrench flies to safety, but an injured Aiden is surrounded by Rempart forces and subsequently captured.

Security Director: Fortunately, our surveillance team found out that Rempart is mostly interested in a piece of technology being developed by our Deep Labs division. Something called the BrocaBridge - the whole acquisition is just a plot to get it. |
Report: MK2 Marketing Materials[]
A text file unlocked after hacking a hard drive in the Deep Labs.
â | Text Report: MK2 Marketing Materials |
One of our contractors cracked one of Rempart's marketing PC's on a hunch, and they hit the jackpot. Rempart has sold a million units of something called the AK2 to the UK government. The selling feature is that it uses human pilots, connected to the machine by a direct brain-machine interface. But he doesn't have the technology to produce it himself. He needs the BrocaBridge, or he'll be in a breach with bloody feds to the tune of about a billion pounds. At the risk of sounding crude, you've got him by the bollocks, ma'am. H. Aziz |
